Galerie Parnass, which was founded by Rolf and Anneliese Jährling, was one of the first galleries in the Rhine region to support the young contemporary art scene after World War II. In the 1950s and 1960s, the gallery was a leading avant-garde venue, particularly for abstract art and, later, Fluxus movements in North Rhine Westphalia.
