Further information: Founded in 1946 and chaired (until 1953) by Fredo Sidès, the artists’ association Réalités Nouvelles replaced Abstraction-Création as the association for abstract practices in France. Its first board members included Hans Arp, Sonia Delaunay, and Albert Gleizes. Ever since, the association has held large exhibitions and salons of abstract art every year, similar to an art fair. Their website is still updated: realitesnouvelles.org
